ESPT 2nd Summer School on Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics

The European Society of Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics (ESPT) is a non-profit organization that brings together people interested in all aspects of pharmacogenetics, pharmacogenomics and all approaches focused on improving the delivery of medicines to the right patient at the right dose and at the right time. In fulfilling its mission to co-ordinate the development of Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics on a European basis, also trought support of education, ESPT is organizing the 2nd Summer School on Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics, which will be held in Rome, Italy, from June 9 th , to June 14 th 2014. Participation does not require previous knowledge and experience in the field of Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics. The Summer School will consist of lectures, held by distinguished international faculty, workshops and student presentations. Participants will have a unique opportunity to discuss their work with invited professors during the “Meet the professor session” and will be able to introduce themselves and their work to their peers on a one-to-one basis, during the “Speed dating session”. The Summer School is designed for young physicians, pharmacists, and other clinical and biomedical researchers, who are interested in acquiring skills in Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine. It aims to provide the students with in-depth understanding of the concepts as well as state-of-the-art knowledge in Pharmacogenomics and other omics approaches as they are applied towards realization of Personalized Medicine. It also aims to provide them with ready-to-use tools for applying these concepts and knowledge in their working practice.
The participants selection
100 participants will be selected on the basis of their CV and motivation letter. Criteria includs country of origin and age. The selection process will allow the greatest spread of skills and knowledge in Pharmacogenomics and Theranostics among young people across all Europe.
